Job Description

We are seeking Paediatric Registrars for the 2026 clinical year, offering both 6- and 12-month terms, with opportunities for extension and career progression.

This is a rare chance to develop your skills in a highly unique and rewarding clinical setting, with exposure to Rural/Remote Paediatrics, Indigenous Child Health, and a broad spectrum of general and developmental paediatrics.
30 bed Paediatric Ward, 8 bed Neonatal Nursery >30-32/40, >1000-1500g)
Position Streams
We are recruiting to two streams:
  • General Paediatric Registrar
    Rotational position across:
    • Paediatric and neonatal inpatient services
    • General and subspecialty outpatient clinics
    • Community/Outreach Paediatric Registrar
    Foused Focon:
    • Remote outreach clinics across Central Australia
    • Developmental and behavioural paediatrics
    • Premature infant follow-up and clinics
    • Working within multidisciplinary teams
    Training and Accreditation
    • Accredited for Advanced Training in General Paediatrics including Community/Developmental and General Paediatrics (Rural with Perinatal focus)
    • Accredited for Community Child Health (non-core) training
    • Supportive environment for Basic Trainees through secondment or non-accredited positions.

    • RACP Advanced Trainees in Paediatrics & Child Health will be prioritised, but applications are also open to Basic Trainees (non- accredited) and experienced clinicians looking to up-skill in paediatrics.
