The Role:
Amazon Design Technologies is a multidisciplinary team that provides design software systems platforms and design processes to our Product Development New Technology Operations Retail Footwear Apparel and Manufacturing teams.
Were seeking innovative Applied Scientists passionate about leveraging advanced AI to tackle complex challenges in product intelligence data integration and knowledge discovery. In this role youll collaborate with teams across Amazon to drive customerfocused solutions and amplify the impact of your work on our global customer base.
Key job responsibilities
Design and implement advanced AI models using the latest LLM and GenAI technologies to enhance product understanding matching and categorization at an unprecedented scale.
Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to integrate AIdriven insights into Amazons Devices Knowledgebase.
Lead the design and implementation of scalable productionready AI systems.
Stay at the advance of AI research continuously exploring and implementing new techniques in LLMs GenAI and multimodal learning to drive innovation in product intelligence.
Contribute to the scientific community through publications presentations and collaborations with academic institutions.
A day in the life
Youll be working closely with business partners and engineering teams to create endtoend scalable machine learning solutions that address realworld problems. You will build scalable efficient and automated processes for largescale data analyses model development model validation and model implementation.
You will also be providing clear and compelling reports for your solutions and contributing to the ongoing innovation and knowledgesharing that are central to the teams success.
3 years of building models for business application experience
PhD or Masters degree and 4 years of CS CE ML or related field experience
Experience programming in Java C Python or related language
Experience in any of the following areas: algorithms and data structures parsing numerical optimization data mining parallel and distributed computing highperformance computing
Experience using Unix/Linux
Experience in professional software development

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
