Job Description

Amazon Business (AB) is reinventing B2B eCommerce by offering business customers of all sizes the same advantages Amazon has already brought to consumers including broad selection low pricing unique delivery experiences and great customer service. WW Ops Amazon Business is building the operations and supply chain solutions that will enable ABs rapid growth by reengineering many parts of our supply chain to offer bulk consolidated pallet deliveries and many other services that business customers require. As a core team member you will be involved in helping reimagine what a B2B supply chain should look like and playing a key role in the technology that will power our supply chain.

The Amazon Business Operations team is looking for a Senior Supply Chain Manager with a strong delivery record and proven project management experience to own strategic tactical crossfunctional and technological projects/programs. This role will focus on delivering on bespoke delivery requirements strategic customers and contractual spend agreements. This includes being responsible for creation improvement and scaling of new processes to further the capabilities of Amazon Business to be a primary supplier for business needs. You will engage with Amazon Business sales force and directly with Amazon Business customers to understand their needs and work with tech and ops teams to build global solutions. Creativity will be needed to leverage new and existing processes from internal and external organizations to unlock the spend of our large and strategic customers. Having a focus on how to streamline and scale the business is key for success in the role.

Expected to travel up to 5 times per year depending on area of ownership.

Key job responsibilities
Manage full lifecycle of complex crossfunctional programs with considerable impact across multiple organizations
Development of the overall program strategy tactically driving teams in and outside of your organization to deliver
Define the program (mission vision tenets) set objectives analyze data and drive improvements that are quantified with metrics
Work autonomously in an ambiguous environment seeking to understand business problems automation limitations scaling factors boundary conditions and reasons behind leadership decisions
Partner with teams across the business you support and beyond to source allocate and coordinate resources
Partner with customers internal/external teams and engineering teams to determine what projects move forward and in what priority order
Oversee gaps between teams processes and systems helping teams reduce exposure to classic failure modes (e.g. requirements not sufficiently understood or documented ineffective crossteam collaboration longterm impact(s) from thirdparty solutions etc.)
Solve ambiguous problems and proactively identify and mitigate risks (before they become roadblocks)
Work with program managers business leaders and executive team to communicate and impact critical business initiatives
Develop implement and govern KPI reporting for a portfolio of programs providing visibility to the milestones and performance across all projects
Engage other Amazon business units globally to share best practices and improve end to end outcomes for Amazon customers

As a leader within this organization you will be involved in helping reimagine what a B2B supply chain should look like and play a key role in the technology that will power our B2B supply chain.

5 years of program or project management experience
5 years of supply chain experience
Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
Experience owning program strategy end to end delivery and communicating results to senior leadership
Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g. pivot tables & charts multiple criteria lookups nested logical/IF formulas data cleansing array formulas etc.)
Bachelors degree

2 years of driving process improvements experience
Masters degree or MBA in business operations human resources adult education organizational development instructional design or related field

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $103900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $181400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
