This position is located in Covington LA in the St Tammany Parish Child WelfareOffice. This position supervises administrative employees within the Child Welfare Department.
This position may only be filled by a current permanent classified DCFS employee. Also it may be filled as a detail and promoted within 12 months.

Function of Work:
To supervise personnel engaged in clerical activities in support of an organizational unit or program.
Level of Work:
Supervisor.
Supervision Received:
General from higherlevel administrative and/or supervisory personnel.
Supervision Exercised:
Direct supervision over 3 or more Administrative Coordinators Administrative Assistants or equivalent.
Location of Work:
May be used by all state agencies.
Job Distinctions:
Differs from the Administrative Coordinator and Administrative Assistant job series by the presence of directline supervision over 3 or more subordinates.
Differs from Administrative Supervisor 1 by agency impact hierarchy and reporting relationship patterns.
Differs from Administrative Manager 1 by the absence of professionallevel administrative duties.
Plans assigns and reviews the work of employees engaged in processing fiscal personnel educational medical or other departmental work.
Supervises the training orientation and continuing development of subordinate employees.
Evaluates the work of subordinates; ensures work product quality and quantity control by reviewing documents reports or records for completeness and accuracy.
Counsels employees on workrelated problems or questions.
Determines and assembles data and composes special reports periodic correspondence or production reports.
Gives routine interpretation of laws rules and regulations.
Performs related duties as assigned.
