Pathways clinic at Downtown Public Health is hiring for a Public Health Nurse (PHN) to work as part of our phenomenal team. Pathways located in the Downtown Public Health building is an innovative program that uses a harm reduction approach to help address the opioid epidemic and provides low barrier access to Medication for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD) primarily buprenorphine. The Public Health Nurse in the Pathways Clinic serves an important and integral role in supporting the Pathways team in providing medical care and care coordination to patients presenting for services addressing concerns related to opioid other substances use and urgent care needs. As part of an interdisciplinary team the PHN provides patient counseling and other related support to patients who use drugs and/or have a history of substance use disorder. The PHN provides oversight for a team of Medical Assistants assures specimen collection and processing assures follow up for Primary Care related concerns and assists in coordinating referrals and prescription access for Pathways patients.

Requirements:
Bachelors degree in nursing science or a graduate level nursingdegree of MSN DNP or PhD from an accredited school of nursing.
Current Washington State license as a Registered Nurse or MultiState Licensure.
Pass credentialing and background.
Documentation of current BLSCPR for Health Care Providers. CPR/AED HeartSaver courses do not meet this requirement.
Washington state drivers license.
Work Schedule:This career service position is a fully benefitted 1.0 fte that will typically work within MondayFriday 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. and is overtime eligible. May work outside of the typical schedule to meet operational needs. This is a clinicbased position and telework is not possible.
Work Location:The primary work location for this position will be at 401 4th Avenue Seattle WA 98104.
