ANTICIPATED HIRING RANGE: Starting salary upon appointment is not expected to exceed $4150 per month.
CSU CLASSIFICATION SALARY RANGE: $4150 $5076

POSITION PURPOSE: The Housing Navigator Assistant under direct supervision of the Director of the Center for Accessibility and Essential Needs provides trainee level support to students experiencing housing insecurity including those who are unhoused or displaced due to financial hardship unsafe living environments or unforeseen housing changes. The position assists students in navigating housing resources applying for rental assistance and connecting with campus and community services. The incumbent performs structured and procedural tasks following established guidelines to help students secure and maintain stable housing. This position plays a supportive role in the Rapid Rehousing & Housing Security Program a fouryear grant through the Chancellors Office focused on increasing housing stability.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Equivalent to graduation from a fouryear college or university in one of the behavioral sciences public or business administration or a jobrelated field and some experience in student services. Specialized experience during which the applicant has acquired and successfully applied the appropriate knowledge and abilities may be substituted for the required education on a yearforyear basis. Equivalent amounts of graduate level job related education may be substituted for the required experience.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: LIGHT WORK involves mainly sitting up to 25% standing or walking; lifting medium weight objects limited to 25 pounds.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS:
SCREENING: Only those applicants possessing experience most directly related to the immediate needs of the office will be invited to appear before a Qualifications Appraisal Board for the purpose of appraising training experience and interest in the position.
