Job Description
SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Dean Feliciano School of Business the Director SBUS Technology Support Services provides strategic and operational leadership in the development execution and implementation of information technology strategies that advance the teaching learning research administrative and outreach excellence of the Feliciano School of Business. The Director ensures that the technology capabilities of the school serve and advance the dynamically evolving needs and interests of internal stakeholders students faculty and staff while actively identifying and engaging with university colleagues peers and aspirant business school tech leaders. This role is a member of the Deans senior leadership team and advises leadership on overall technology strategies and investments necessary to advance the vision and mission of the school in digital transformation.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead the direction and expansion of instructional and information technology support services and resources for the School of Business including instructional design and educational technology all levels of workstation support and media support.
Oversee the daily operation of the Unit including staff and budget management communication and ensuring financial stewardship and adherence to all University financial policies.
Responsible for leading and engaging in proactive planning support and organizing all IT efforts.
Provide guidance on resource allocation and coordination for technology resources.
Utilize business intelligence strategies to review evaluate and recommend IT projects based on feasibility cost/benefit and risk assessments.
Gather and analyze metrics/reports to benchmark IT operations workload/performance and identify trends in issues.
Offer solutions and alternatives to improve best practice processes working collaboratively with the team.
Supervise and support dedicated team whose areas of responsibility include instructional design and educational technology all levels workstation support first through third level virtual desktop support first and secondlevel AV support and media production.
Provide direction for all computing resources throughout the school including RFPs purchasing and implementation.
Monitor information technology assets and software usage and provide periodic reports to the Dean regarding utilization
Oversee and support the daily technical operations of the school which includes workstations computer labs virtual desktop environment and server environments.
Serve as backup to Desktop Support and Instructional Design/Technology for triage services for faculty staff and students.
Partner with School leadership to support the business and educational operations of the school maximizing the value of data and processes.
Represent the School within the University and to outside communities in areas related to technology.
Participate in campus and systemwide projects and committees.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
REQUIRED:
Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in information technology or related field.
Minimum five (5) years of professional experience in IT or Business Intelligence leadership demonstrating a proven track record of success in leadership roles within complex multistakeholder missiondriven organizations.
Experience working with large complex and diverse data sets from multiple sources and formats.
Proven track record of delivering reporting solutions meeting diverse stakeholder needs.
Outstanding project management experience with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects to completion.
Ability to work in a highly collaborative matrixed environment and build relationships of trust with diverse stakeholders.
Strong skills in spreadsheets presentation software and visual analytics tools.
PREFERRED:
Masters degree from an accredited university in Information Systems Analytics or related field.
Seven (7) years of professional experience in IT or Business Intelligence leadership demonstrating a proven track record of success in leadership roles within complex multistakeholder missiondriven organizations.
Advanced degree/certification in Information Technology or related field.
Experience in higher education leadership is strongly preferred.
