Job Description
Job Summary:
We are hiring a Controls and Automation Technician for a leading manufacturing facility in Indianapolis IN. This handson role is ideal for someone experienced with AllenBradley PLCs (Logix 500/5000) HMIs motion control systems and VFDs. Youll be responsible for troubleshooting configuring and maintaining automation equipment and electrical systems in a foodgrade production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Program and troubleshoot AllenBradley PLC systems (Logix 500/5000)
Maintain and modify HMI systems; Ignition SCADA experience a plus
Configure and support motion control systems servo drives and VFDs
Troubleshoot industrial networks (Ethernet devicelevel networks)
Calibrate and maintain instrumentation (flow pressure temperature)
Interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation
Perform componentlevel wiring installation and setup
Use CMMS software and Microsoft Office tools for reporting and documentation
Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of experience in industrial automation or controls
Strong knowledge of AllenBradley PLCs and electrical troubleshooting
Familiarity with motion control systems and VFDs
Ability to read electrical schematics and technical manuals
Technical degree or equivalent experience preferred
Experience in a food or regulated manufacturing environment is a plus
