You will be part of Moodys Insurance Solutions where we develop cuttingedge software sophisticated models and advanced analytics that power risk quantification for the global multi trilliondollar P&C market. Our solutions enable organizations to better understand and manage the risks of natural and humanmade catastrophes including hurricanes earthquakes floods wildfires terrorism cyber threats climate change and pandemics. We are seeking individuals driven by a deep enthusiasm for highperformance cloud computing advanced data analytics AI/ML and the pursuit of groundbreaking innovations in model science to solve critical realworld problems
Role/Responsibilities
As a Senior Software Engineer you will:
Deliver highquality scalable and maintainable software solutions aligned with team and product goals
Independently own and execute key projects or components ensuring delivery within deadlines and exceeding quality expectations
Collaborate crossfunctionally with product managers UX designers and other engineers to prioritize impactful solutions that align with customer needs
Contribute to technical roadmaps identifying opportunities to streamline processes and optimize system performance
Lead technical discussions and provide detailed feedback during code and design reviews to ensure best practices
Mentor junior engineers fostering a growth mindset and helping develop their technical and collaborative skills
Proactively identify and resolve complex technical challenges ensuring system reliability scalability and performance
Advocate for and implement improvements in team processes tooling and software quality
Embrace and navigate ambiguity balancing immediate needs with longterm technical and organizational objectives
Document and communicate technical solutions and decisions effectively to stakeholders across teams
Qualifications
6 years of professional software development experience demonstrating a track record of delivering impactful technical solutions in collaborative environments
Bachelors or masters degree in computer science Engineering or a related disciplineor equivalent professional experience
Proficiency in one or more of the following programming languages: Java Scala C# C or Python
Experience dealing with both relational databases (Postgres MySql Sql Server or Oracle) and NoSql data stores at scale
Expertise in developing robust productionquality RESTful APIs and microservices
Familiarity building cloudnative applications with Docker & Kubernetes as well as onprem software solutions
Comprehensive understanding of data structures algorithms and complexity analysis
Strong grasp of software design principles architectural best practices and testing strategies
Handson experience with system performance tuning multithreading and memory management
Demonstrated ability to lead projects and collaborate across disciplines to drive outcomes that meet customer and business needs
Commitment to ensuring application scalability availability reliability and security
Passion for continuous learning adaptability and contributing to a highperforming engineering culture
