Freelancers are eligible to apply for an internal role if they are on a Worker Contract and they have worked continuously for 6 months. We are seeking a talented and experienced Lead Project Manager to join the BBC Product Groups Transformation team. The successful candidate will be leading a large body of work that drives us towards our strategic digital first ambitions.
The ideal candidate will have significant experience in complex stakeholder management and strategic alignment. You will leverage expertise in digital transformation product management or tech startups to ensure we deliver impactful results aligned with our broader strategic goals. Youll be a proactive leader confident in challenging assumptions proposing innovative solutions and finding the right balance between creativity and pragmatism. Youll also have strong communication skills be highly organised and have the ability to collaborate across diverse teams to ensure clear consistent messaging throughout the transformation journey.
This role requires a selfstarter with a can do approach and the ability to turn complex problems into actionable solutions and next steps. You will be at ease with both technical and nontechnical experts and know when to draw on who to get the best results. Your team will rely on you and you will thrive in that central critical position in the eye of the storm.
Whilst formal project management qualifications and experience working in large highly governed programmes is nice to have it is not crucial. We work iteratively often in ambiguous environments and the ability to adapt quickly and keep things clear and moving forwards is more important.
