Overview
My client are seeking a dynamic and experienced Site Manager to oversee their retail construction projects specifically on Marks & Spencers projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fitout and refurbishment projects within the retail sector and will be responsible for ensuring the successful completion of construction projects to the highest standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of onsite construction projects including overseeing subcontractors and tradespeople ensuring compliance with safety regulations and maintaining a high level of quality control.
- Coordinate with project managers architects and other stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Monitor and enforce site safety protocols and regulations to create a safe and inclusive work environment for all team members.
- Conduct regular site inspections and address any issues that may arise while maintaining a high level of cleanliness and organization on site.
- Communicate effectively with all project team members and provide regular progress updates to stakeholders.
Daytoday
- Oversee all onsite construction activities manage subcontractors and ensure adherence to project timelines.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and address any hazards or concerns to maintain a safe and inclusive work environment.
- Collaborate with project managers architects and other stakeholders to ensure projects are completed to the highest standards.
- Communicate regularly with the project team and provide progress updates to stakeholders.
- Implement and maintain strict quality control measures to uphold project standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Site Manager within the retail construction industry.
- Indepth knowledge of construction processes including fitout and refurbishment projects.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Understanding of health and safety regulations and a commitment to promoting a safe and inclusive work environment.
- Relevant certifications and qualifications in construction management or a related field are preferred.
