We are seeking an experienced Materials Planning & Logistics (MP&L) Manager to lead all MP&L activities onsite driving efficiency service excellence and cost optimization.
About the Sunderland Plant:
The Sunderland plant operates across two production lines seating and foam and employs approximately 600 Corporations Sunderland facility is a modern highperforming site supporting major automotive customers like Nissan and Jaguar Land Rover with strong investment in production and R&D capabilities.
Responsibilities:
Lead all MP&L operations across the site.
Define and implement strategies to maximize service levels and minimize costs.
Manage master scheduling materials planning warehousing and transport operations.
Oversee external logistics partners and ensure service excellence.
Ensure inventory accuracy and optimize stock levels.
Drive continuous improvement and costsaving initiatives.
Directly manage and support two key team members: the Warehouse Manager and the Senior Master Scheduler.
Prepare and manage MP&L budgets and forecasts.
Collaborate with internal departments and external partners.
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety Environmental and Quality standards.
Minimal travel required (approximately 10% within the UK).
Requirements:
10 years of management experience in automotive or Tier 1 supplier logistics.
Strong knowledge of supply chain logistics and planning processes.
Experience with ERP/MRP/WMS systems (AS400/BPCS preferred).
Degree in Logistics Supply Chain Management or related field (preferred).
Strong leadership problemsolving and communication skills.
Proactive and handson approach with a focus on continuous improvement.
Customerfocused mindset.
