Salary and Benefits
The salary range is $43998 $95320 (based on the 202425 SEA Certified salary schedule) depending on education and experience plus a generous benefit plan.

Springfield Public Schools is located in Springfield Oregon in the heart of the Willamette Valley and serves 185 square miles of the city of Springfield and East/Central Lane County. We are directly to the East of Eugene where the University of Oregon is located. We currently have approximately 10000 students over 1500 staff members and over 600 teachers in our kindergarten through grade 12 school district. About the Position
Springfield Public Schools seeks outstanding candidates for the position of Community Transition Program (CTP) Teacher. Students enrolled in the CTP program are 1821 years of age. To support this work successful candidates will possess the following characteristics that support our vision of Every Student Every Day and share our values:

Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge and experience with high schoolaged students;
- Experience in writing and implementing special education/post secondary transition plans;
- Strong understanding of multitiered systems of support (MTSS) for academics and social/emotional/behavior
- Knowledge and experience working in a school or district that implements the concepts of Response to Intervention (RtI);
- Knowledge of schoolwide Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS);
- Demonstrated understanding of and responsiveness to the diverse academic socioeconomic cultural disability gender identity sexual orientation and ethnic backgrounds that characterize a K12 school community in a manner specific to the position;
- Strong student relationship building skills and the ability to establish a sound system of classroom routines and management;
- Ability to establish effective collaborative working relationships with diverse staff student and community populations;
- Experience working with communitybased agencies and companies;
- Knowledge of the four areas of transition associated with IDEA requirements;
- Knowledge and experience with providing individualized precise instruction for diverse learners that supports the implementation of the core curriculum;
- Understands coteaching methods when partnering with general education teachers;
- Ability to work closely with Educational Assistants;
- Ability to effectively manage and supervise students and their work.
Minimum Qualifications
- A valid state of Oregon teaching license or the ability to get one with a Special Education: Generalist endorsement;
- Successfully pass fingerprinting criminal Oregon Department of Education and TSPC background checks.
