Job Description:

We are seeking an Associate Program Finance to join our team in Huntsville AL. The selected individual will prepare and maintain budgets establish earnings plans and develop estimates at completion of assigned government aerospace/defense projects.

In this role the individual will serve a vital function by applying Earned Value Management (EVM) Finance and accounting skills to prepare financial reporting on a major defense program; use metrics associated with management best practices and prepare reports to reflect Awards Sales Profit and Cash. May also assist proposal teams to develop basesofestimate provide actuals data and support factfinding/negotiations as needed.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for the financial functions associated with the business acquisition process (proposals) and program execution process (programs).
  • Responsible for setting up validating and generating complex invoices to various customers.
  • Ensure all assigned invoices are processed and completed in a timely manner per the terms and conditions of the contract.
  • Responsible for daily customer interface and billing guidance to Contracts and Program Finance.
  • Perform required invoice and account receivable reconciliations to ensure billing accuracy.
  • Support internal and external audits; actively participate in process improvement initiatives.
  • Support cash application process through research and reconciliation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. (Finance Accounting Economics Management Business Administration or related field).
  • In lieu of a degree minimum of 4 years prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of cost/schedule development budgeting financial analysis and reporting financial modeling corporate forecasting and/or business acquisitions.
  • Familiarity with Contract Compliance and Negotiation.
  • Experience with customer/management reporting.
