Job Description

Selling Partner Identity Verification Tech works to identify rectify and prevent sellers from misrepresenting their identity. We recognize that this process starts at registration of a sellers account and continues for the entire lifecycle of the selling partner. Our mission is that customers can shop with trust and confidence that every selling account on Amazon is operated by a verified and authenticated identity at every stage of the selling lifecycle which promotes a community built on mutual trust transparency and accountability. We do this by identifying and removing bad actors from the platform while supporting a bestinclass customer experience. We ensure that Amazon is a safe and trustworthy place to shop and an amazing place to build a successful business selling products.

Develop large scale high performance high reliability systems.
Work as the owner of the system and provide stable and robust services to customers and other teams.
Innovate based on new ideas and build comprehensive system/features.
Drive operational excellence and insist on the highest standards with your team and partners

A day in the life
An engineer in Selling Partner Identity Verification Tech will spend their day collaborating with their teammates on designs for new systems providing code review feedback for their peers writing code to implement new software as well as update legacy software working with business partners to define requirements and drive better experiences for our customers.

An engineer in Selling Partner Identity Verification Tech spends time addressing operational excellence for software they own identifying issues in existing systems proposing solutions and resolving those through the natural software development lifecycle while proposing changes to team process to prevent future gaps in their software.

3 years of noninternship professional software development experience
2 years of noninternship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience programming with at least one software programming language
Bachelors degree or equivalent

3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent
