Job Summary
Essential Job Functions
- Prepare and conduct basic and specialized Los Angeles CoC HMIS trainings under minimal supervision.
- Design and expand training material based on the needs of the organization and end users.
- Design of curriculum and training presentations.
- Develop eLearning courses tutorial videos conduct live webinars and update our HMIS website with helpful tips.
- Develop and modify training assessments and evaluations.
- Actively manage and clearly communicate expectations of deliverables and timeline.
- Leads in the development of improvement strategies for training material that includes but is not limited to user guides instructional material and selfhelp documents.
- Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational and informational webinars from vendor HUD and others as it relates to HMIS.
- Review and understand applicable federal regulations.
- Oversee technical assistance inquiries of the ticketing system and establish good working relationships with end users.
- Serve as a resource to the HMIS training team educating and assisting them with resolving ticketing system requests and developing training materials.
- Create and maintain HMIS user accounts passwords and set appropriate permissions.
- Schedule and communicate to users about trainings webinars and workshops.
- Research new software possibilities that would improve the training experience for end users.
- Consistently continue to improve delivery and presentation skills.
- Maintain asafe and healthy training environment.
- Travel as required to train and support HMIS end users throughout Los Angeles County.
- Other duties and special projects as assigned.
Knowledge Skills & Abilities
- Knowledge of the Los Angeles CoC HMIS.
- Direct service experience with homeless service providers is preferred.
- Ability to develop content and conduct training.
- Excellent people skills specifically a capacity for collaboration and interpersonal relationships.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to express technical concepts clearly to both technical and nontechnical audiences.
- Strong ability to multitask and prioritize workload.
- Intermediate level of computer software programs specifically Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel Access Power Point and Outlook).
- Expert problem solving prioritization and decisionmaking capabilities.
- Expert experience with screen video recording/editing software.
- Ability to perform and lead in a teambased environment.
Training & Experience
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology Education and Training or related field.
- Minimum of three (3) years of any combination of extensive and applicable work experience and educational credentials to perform the above duties successfully.
License Requirement- A valid California Class C drivers license is required at the time of hire. Employees must have a good driving record for a minimum of three (3) years.
Schedule- The Chief Executive Officeror designee may change the schedule of positions between hybrid and onsite as necessary to accomplish LAHSAs business needs.
