The Clinical Nurse functions as a member of the department by providing delivery of medical care in a collaborative joint practice with physicians; provides comprehensive care to acute or chronically ill patients in the hospital and office settings. to assist the physician in the delivery of medical care in the hospital and office settings; interprets and integrates findings to determine appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedure; assists in management of treatment plans promotes health and wellness during treatment; serves a a liaison/resource between patients/family members and other healthcare providers; maintains positive relationships with patients and family members referring physicians and staff hospital personnel visitors and fellow employees; practices under supervision and guidance of the physician.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
This position requires formal training which will be indicated by graduation from an accredited Registered Nurse program; School of graduate nursing at Masters degree level; current licensure by the Kentucky State Board of Nursing and be in good standing. CPR certification is required.
PHYSICAL GUIDELINES:
Physical guidelines include the ability to move traverse position self remain in a stationary position and negotiate steps for up to eight hours per day; lift move and transport patients equipment supplies; motor coordination and manual dexterity; verbal and hearing acuity to communicate effectively by phone and in person; ability to read/understand orders.
