What youll be responsible for.

As a Maintenance & Utility Technician at our Plover Appetizer Plant youll be an essential part of keeping our equipment running safely efficiently and reliably. Youll work handson with a wide range of mechanical electrical and utility systems while helping to ensure smooth production from start to finish. This is a fastpaced role that requires sharp troubleshooting skills solid communication and a commitment to safety and quality.

Heres what youll take on:

Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose and repair mechanical electrical and utility equipment including motors gearboxes disconnects solenoids and sensors.

Preventive Maintenance: Perform scheduled maintenance across production lines and utility systems to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment life.

Emergency Response: Respond to equipment failures quickly and efficiently to minimize downtime and keep production moving.

Technical Expertise: Offer support and guidance to team members sharing knowledge and collaborating on repairs and process improvements.

Documentation & Reliability: Stay on top of work orders log completed tasks accurately and contribute to overall uptime and asset reliability.

Utility System Support: Work with refrigeration ventilation and wastewater systems as needed to support plant infrastructure.

Continuous Improvement: Participate in McCains quality and efficiency initiatives including MCE practices to drive improvement plantwide.

What youll bring to the team

Were looking for someone whos not just handy with tools but also curious dependable and ready to jump in wherever needed. If youre the type who enjoys figuring out how things work fixing them when they dont and keeping production humming along youre our kind of teammate.

Heres what wed love to see:

Youve got a high school diploma or GED bonus points if youve also completed a twoyear technical program.

Youve worked in maintenance for years and confidently know your way around both mechanical and electrical systems.

Gearboxes motors solenoids sensors these arent just buzzwords to you. Youve diagnosed and fixed them all before.

Youre confident reading schematics and wiring diagrams and youve got a good grasp of how equipment comes together.

Ammonia systems experience is a big plus but not a musthave.

You bring a strong sense of ownership to your work whether its keeping equipment running supporting production or responding to an urgent call from the floor.

Youve got your own tools and youre not afraid to get your hands dirty.

Its a bonus if you have

These arent musthaves but if youve got some of the following under your belt wed definitely love to hear about it!

A journeyman card or formal certification in industrial maintenance because if youve got it flaunt it.

An electromechanical degree or trade school training that gave you a solid technical foundation.

Experience working with ammonia refrigeration systems. If youve done it you know how valuable that skill is.

Familiarity with GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) so you know the drill when it comes to clean compliant work.

Exposure to process improvement systems (PMIs) and youve got an exacting eye for making things better.

A reputation for being the goto person when something breaks or production needs help.

The drive to learn new skills crosstrain with other departments and grow your career with a team that truly supports you.

Compensation Package:$34.55 $35.10USD hourly bonuseligibility

The above reflects the target compensation range for the position at the time of posting. Hiring compensation will be determined based on experience skill set education/training and other organizational needs.

Shift Differential Pay: $1.75
