Job Description
PUMPTEX INC is seeking an Office Assistant who is ready to develop their business acumen with a locallyowned essential business. This is a parttime entrylevel position with fulltime potential; ideal for a senior BBA student seeking fulltime after graduation. The primary function of the Office Assistant is to provide administrative support to the Accounting Sales and Service departments at the PumpTex Inc. headquarter office in Beaumont TX and to crosstrain as needed for career advancement.
Schedule: NonExempt PartTime Monday through Friday Flexible Scheduling (2025 hours per week)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Communicating with vendors customers and team members in a respectful manner
- Work with the team as needed by answering phones and responding to emails
- Filing organizing and maintaining a clean workspace
- Using office software like Microsoft Office and Google Suite
- Data entry and verifying accuracy
- Scheduling appointments meetings and events as requested by the COO
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have customer service experience
- Must have experience with data entry filing and other areas of administrative functions
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel is preferred
- Organizational skills and effective time management
- Attention to detail
