Inspection and pressure testing on parts and assemblies to ensure that material or finished product is within prescribed specifications and complete secondary weld functions within the welding department.
- This does not require previous weld skillset but definitely the want/desire to learn and perform the basics of brazing MIG & TIG.

DESCRIPTION:
- Set up and complete the pressure testing process.
- Operate Pressure testing equipment including precision hydraulic testing equipment and data analyzer.
- Verify repair document and retest leaks found.
- Perform secondary operations as required during the welding process such as welding cutting/trimming etc.
- Support the weld team with various job orders and shop projects.
- Use an annealing torch to braze tubes using solder and flux.
- Use basic MIG and TIG welding processes as needed.
- Determining the correct tooling fixtures and materials required to run the job.
- Read/understand prints and information provided in the shop traveler.
- Reads and interprets work orders assembly and detail drawings special instructions and inspection requirements.
- Completes Inspection records for tests completed.
- Measures and inspect tubes to ensure they meet the print and all quality requirements.
- Troubleshoot machine during operation and make inproduction adjustments to ensure product quality.
- Load/unload tubes and pipes both manually and with forklifts.
- Package tested products in shipping boxes and crates.
REQUIREMETNS:
- Some sort of experience in NDE inspection.
- Must be physically fit and able to lift 50 lbs. as well as stand for extended periods.
- Able to interpret Mechanical Drawings
- Problem Solving/Troubleshooting skills.
- Shop inspection equipment proficiency.
- Experience with hand tools: snips files pliers hammers wrenches etc.
- Able to accurately use a tape measure calipers micrometers height gages and other metal measuring equipment.
