As a Finance Analyst you play a pivotal role by supporting your team with timely accurate and insightful analysis to enable effective decision making by key stakeholders and business partners. Job Description
Role Purpose: To provide General Ledger (GL) support for the book close process and offer planning and analysis support.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure timely book closure for the GBSS entity by providing GL support.
- Deliver financial insights and projections to the accounting and business teams.
- Prepare monthly financial reports.
- Assist in creating presentations that offer thoughtful analysis identify action items and effectively frame decisions.
Key Accountabilities:
- Month End GL :Support team members with the completion of monthend activities including P&L and balance sheet management posting of manual adjustments and preparation of reporting packs ensuring output is of an excellent standard
- Audit and Compliance Preparation and presentation of finance statements and manage the Statutory Tax Audit TP audit ensuring financial accuracy and adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Tax compliance Ensuring that Corporate Tax Returns are accurate and filed on time. Preparation of Advance tax workings and ensuring the organization meets its tax obligations to Tax notices Orders and other queries.
- Intercompany Transactions Working with various teams based out of Australia to ensure that IC transactions are accurately recorded and confirmed.
- Other business suport Responsible for managing the IT related spend including its monthly accruals and subsequent charge back to domestic books and ensure proper allocation of costs to respective BUs;
- Work on Capital projects and initiatives for India entities;
- Responsible for managing the Cost center and profit center changes in the books for MIS reporting;
- System related support for India book close Field glass Integral etc;
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with business partners and crossfunctional teams at all levels of the organization
- Partner directly with the finance team and central FP&A groups to collaborate on metrics goals and business reviews
Qualifications required :
- CA or CPA/MBA Finance qualified with 4 to 8 years of experience
- General knowledge of accounting/operations/planning principles
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Desirable:
- Good knowledge in SAP (Mandatory)
- Solving complex problems agility and ability to deal with ambiguity at times
- Focus on delivering key message & insight relevant to stakeholders
- Strong word excel and power point skills (Python R tool or PowerBI reporting added advantage)
