This position requires that the candidate selected must currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance. The position further requires that after start the selected candidate obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph or commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform AWS work.

Key job responsibilities
You will develop build and operate AWS Analytics services that enable customers to optimize their data. Our engineering teams support services running in air gapped regions that are isolated from the public internet creating unique engineering challenges and opportunities for innovation. The Analytics team is responsible for diving deep to resolve operational challenges innovating to automate operational tasks build open source solutions for our customers supporting execution of various security campaigns (blocked software host patching) and parity programs.

As a Software Development Engineer you will:

As a ADC Software Development Engineer in Analytics you will build innovative solutions expand services into ADC regions and improve our operations to provide resiliency and the best experience for our customers. You influence technical strategy and architectural decisions within the team and with partner teams and make datadriven decisions. 3 years of noninternship professional software development experience
2 years of noninternship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Bachelors degree or CSSLP (Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional)
Experience programming with at least one software programming language
Current active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret or above

3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent
Experience in communicating with users other technical teams and senior leadership to collect requirements describe software/system product features technical designs and product strategy

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
