Job Description

The Department of World Languages Literatures and Cultures is accepting applications for one adjunct Chinese instructor beginning in August 2025. Responsibilities include course preparation and teaching providing timely feedback and grades meeting with students during office hours and communicating with students outside of class through Blackboard email and/or telephone. This is a parttime position. Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. and reside near High Point North Carolina.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Masters degree in Chinese or related field and nearnative fluency in English and Chinese.

Experience/Training:

  • Previous teaching experience is required preferably at the college level.
  • Proficiency in using educational technology both in and outside the classroom is expected.
  • A commitment to studentcentered teaching using a communicative approach is essential.
