At Caterpillars South Milwaukee WI facility we manufacture large surface mining equipment and components supporting the Electric Rope Shovel and Dragline products. In this role as an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Associate you will report to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager and will be primarily responsible for the creation implementation and maintenance of EHS programs and associated policies and regulations. As a member of the Safety & Environmental team you will help support our production welding machining assembly and material handling operations as well as facility safety and environmental programs and initiatives. Candidates should have a growth mindset promote continuous improvement and willing to help build a robust safety culture.

What Skills you will have:
Environmental Health and Safety (EHS): Knowledge of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) policies and regulations; ability to implement EHS policies to ensure that manufacturing processes are safe for people and the environment and in compliance with legal requirements and standards.
Level Working Knowledge:
Understanding of a manufacturing environment and related safety equipment and personal protective equipment requirements.
Hazard and risk recognition of manufacturing equipment work areas and processes.
Knowledge of ergonomics related to industrial and manufacturing applications.
Hazard and risk recognition of hazardous materials and related environmental concerns.
Managing Multiple Priorities: ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives projects groups or activities making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.
Level Working Knowledge:
Recognizes changing demands and priorities; validates changes with management.
Responds and manages daytoday operational priorities while still making progress on project work.
Completes current work according to assigned priorities.
Initiative: Ability to seek out work and the drive to accomplish goals. Being proactive and committing to taking action when needed.
Level Working Knowledge:
Proactively lead continuous improvement activities and drive items to completion.
Identifies and exploits own strengths; minimizes limitations.

Additional Information:
The primary location for this position is South Milwaukee WI.
Domestic relocation assistance is available for this position.
This position may require 510% travel for training or other Caterpillar site visit or activities.

Summary Pay Range:
$79800.00 $119760.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors job level market locationjobrelated knowledge skills individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
