Job Description
Kleinfelder is looking for students pursuing a degree in engineering (civil or structural) construction management geology environmental science or related subjects for an internship supporting our field engineering and observation practice.

Responsibilities:
- This role will include drilling and test pit oversight soil and groundwater sampling and preparing chains of custody for soil samples to be submitted to a laboratory.
- Support deliverable preparations calculations and various tasks related to proposal preparations and submittal and RFI reviews.
- The work will consist of Construction Observation and Materials Testing on active construction sites coupled with Geotechnical Evaluations of potential development areas. Opportunities for crosstraining exist across a range of environmental services encompassing Environmental Site Assessments and remediation Ecological Studies (including wetlands permitting and protected species) and Building Sciences (such as predemolition surveys and indoor air quality).
- Collaborate with engineers geologists scientists and inspectors in our construction materials testing laboratory as well as field inspection engineering operations.
Requirements:
- Ability to work as part of a team and follow directions as needed.
- Enrolled in an accredited engineering program.
- Valid drivers license and clean driving record.
- Able to use a company provided laptop or tablet computer and a working knowledge of MS Office programs (e.g. Word Excel Outlook etc.).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Organization and multitasking ability.
- A good work ethic attention to detail and high level of personal integrity.
- Ability to work outside during inclement weather.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
