Description
Call Required
We are seeking a capable Unit Director Cardiovascular Operating Room (Registered Nurse / RN) who has acquired broad experience in caring for patients and has developed a sound understanding about the care of a particular patient population. This individual will:
- Direct all aspects of management and ensures the provision of optimum patient care for a nursing unit; and provide leadership in the development implementation and evaluation of policies procedures strategies and services for the unit.
- Prepare develop and submit department budget to nursing administration for final approval. Monitor expenditures to ensure compliance with fiscal constraints and explains any variances.
- Establish revise administer and communicate policies procedures and related forms in accordance with state federal and organizational guidelines. Communicate and monitor compliance with regulatory licensing and accreditation standards.
- Prepare staffing plan review and approve work schedules to ensure adequate staff coverage around the clock. Project staffing needs interview and hire employees to fill vacant positions; resolve staffing issues.
- Initiate patient placement to ensure the delivery of optimal nursing care and arrange for continuity of care when warranted by patient condition.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Masters degree required. Either Bachelors or Masters degree must be in Nursing.
- Must have a valid active unencumbered Nursing license or temporary permit approved by the Georgia Licensing Board.
- Five years of experience which includes three years of clinical nursing and 2 years of nursing leadership.
- BLS required. Some jobs in this classification may require ACLS and Healthcare Provider certifications.
