JOB TITLE: Mobile Application Developer Lead
LOCATION: Richardson TX (hybrid role may work from home)
DUTIES:
- Responsible for the design development and maintenance of mobile applications and embedded software components;
- perform advanced engineering design relating to systems software for embedded system electronic components and control systems;
- handle the architecture and design of mobile applications on Android and iOS platforms focusing on HVAC controls functionality to interface with furnaces air handlers heat pumps air conditioners and commercial rooftop units;
- facilitate the development of software design specifications and provide guidance on the understanding of system requirements;
- facilitate technical analysis and determine the optimal application features and implementation;
- provide technical leadership on mobile applications design and lifecycle;
- provide advice on design concepts and changes;
- innovate and standardize HVAC control via mobile applications;
- work on the development of controls in future multigeneration product lines and technology roadmaps;
- ensure the execution and deliverables of product development and release;
- determine product and system feasibility by designing and evaluating prototypes and simulations;
- investigate and study relevant technology and customer trends to anticipate and apply customer and technical needs for the controls technology platform;
- participate in design reviews and code reviews;
- implement software components based on applicable specifications and design.
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelors or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science Computer Engineering Computer Systems Engineering or related field and 7 years of progressive postbaccalaureate experience in the job offered or as a Software Engineer/Developer Technical Lead or in a related/similar position.
- Experience therein to include 7 years in software development and debugging on embedded systems developing mobile applications for Android or iOS platform using objectoriented programming methodologies Java Linux xCode HTML C C ObjectiveC and JTAG debugging;
- 5 years using JSON Python and Android Studio;
- and 2 years in building clients on top of RESTful JSONbased APIs.
- Hybrid role ability to work from home.
