The Economics and Fiscal Policy Division plays an integral role in the development of Albertas economic and fiscal strategies and is responsible for the development interpretation and analysis of economic fiscal and statistical data to support policy development and decisionmaking. The two positions will work in the Policy and Strategic Supports (PSS) branch.

The PSS branch provides policy advice and analysis on a broad range of fiscal issues often leading and participating in highprofile crossministry special projects. The team monitors and analyzes fiscal developments and trends across Canadian jurisdictions including relevant policy developments with significant longerterm fiscal implications for the province. The PSS branch is also responsible for providing expert analysis and advice on federalprovincial and interprovincial fiscal issues and negotiations.

Calling all seasoned analysts with a passion for intergovernmental & policy collaboration! We are seeking to fill a dynamic position Senior Intergovernmental Analyst to spearhead our strategic initiatives. Join us as we navigate the intricacies of policy development and foster effective partnerships across jurisdictions.

Working in a collaborative small team the Senior Intergovernmental Analyst will support the mandate of the PSS branch to deliver on a wide variety of special projects. This requires significant amounts of adaptability sound understanding of Albertas strategic policy priorities and the ability to gain expertise in various topics often under very tight timelines.

The Senior Intergovernmental Analyst will lead analysis and provide advice on matters related to major federal transfers including the Canada Health Transfer and Equalization interprovincial fiscal comparisons and developments of strategic importance to Alberta. In this role you will provide professional analysis and advice on a wide range of fiscal and economic policy matters often working collaboratively with other areas within the Division and across the Government of Alberta. The role reports to the Director Intergovernmental Relations.
