Maintenance Worker Part Time Extendicare

This position is for our Rouge Valley Home located in Scarborough ON.
What youll be doing
Performs preventive maintenance and maintenance tasks including PM checks mechanical operations building inspections minor on demand repairs moving of furniture grounds maintenance/work etc. in accordance with the written policies and procedures of Extendicare the facility trade/CSA legislation and the Maintenance Department as well as prescribed sanitation and infection control procedures.
Reports unsafe and hazardous working conditions and any equipment malfunctions to the supervisor.
What you bring
Maintenance experience preferably in an institutional setting.
Possess technical competencies related to electrical plumbing carpentry HVAC.
Valid drivers license required.
Experience with an older adult population an asset
Strong customer and resident service skills.
Experience in a highpaced customer service setting an asset
Flexible and willingness to learn new tasks
Ability to multitask and adapt to quickly changing priorities
Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills
Ability to read write and follow instructions in English (other languages an asset)
