Why You Will Love this Job:
The Facilities Engineer will be responsible for the maintenance and improvement of our manufacturing plant. Responsibilities include overseeing the maintenance of facilities infrastructure and equipment project management for replacing or upgrading facility infrastructure and program level management for various facilities categories.
To excel as a Facilities Engineer you must effectively create and manage project budgets and timelines while collaborating with engineers contractors and plant personnel. Attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of quality are essential. You should possess a strong desire to learn tackle challenges headon and approach your work with a selfstarting attitude. Focus on cost reduction and actively seek out costsaving initiatives. Additionally excellent project management skills and the capacity to handle multiple projects simultaneously are crucial for success in this role.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists in overseeing daily building and grounds maintenance
Manages capital projects between $50000 $300000 routinely but up to $3M
Manages vendors and contractors ensuring safe and quality work is performed
Owns various facility categories such as HVAC fire protection fire alarm electrical and elevator PM programs energy efficiency janitorial food service furniture and seating (moves adds and changes) etc.
Assists security and emergency preparedness procedures are implemented properly.
Handles general accounting tasks such as accounts payable petty cash and project budgeting
Assists with facility capital planning.
Assists in the creation of service contracts.
Manages and reviews facility leases.
Communicates workplace safety precautions to employees.
Travel to regional Wisconsin facilities as needed.
Travel as required estimated at 12 times per year.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
B.S. Degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited institution.
Minimum 5 years of experience preferably in industry
Experience implementing critical safe work programs and practices (LOTO confined space entry work at heights electrical work etc.)
Proficient in applicable codes (NFPA NEC IMC IBC FM Global data sheets) standards regulations etc.
Experience interacting with regulatory agencies.

Must have US Drivers License
