POSITION SUMMARY (Foreign Language Teacher)
NLCP is currently seeking a qualified foreign language teacher. We are open to applicants with expertise in French German Mandarin or other foreign languages. All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply.
The foreign language teacher is responsible for leading core course instructional minutes and ensuring alignment with curricula best practices. As part of NLCPs college readiness academic model teachers will have the opportunity to teach across the spectrum of their expertise and be supported in creating differentiated learning experiences in their classrooms. In addition to core instructional minutes teachers will engage in special topic seminar instruction allowing creativity in instruction and adding to the breadth of content exposure that scholars receive. Teachers will participate in continuous professional learning as well as hold stakeholdership in departmental planning which involves steering the direction of subject curriculum management.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES (Foreign Language Teacher)
Core Curriculum Instruction (70%)
- Lead the implementation of core curriculum instruction in relevant subject area
- Provide opportunities for learning differentiation including but not limited to experiential learning project learning and group learning
- Collect and reflect on classroom and school level data to improve outcomes
Seminar Instruction (15%)
- Create and execute special topic seminar learning focused on teacher area of interest with the aim of expanding curricular content and offerings
Departmental Leadership (15%)
- Contribute to departmental structure and curriculum development
- Contribute to grade level team meetings including data reflection and action planning
Education Requirements
- Bachelors degree in education youth development or relevant field required masters preferred
- Valid Illinois Professional Educators License (or outofstate equivalent preferred)

Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday 8 AM to 4 PM
