Job Description

We are currently seeking a highly organized and detailoriented Clinic Registration Clerk to join our team at Harvester Family Medical Clinic in Pampa TX. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills strong communication skills and the ability to multitask in a fastpaced environment.



Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients and visitors as they arrive at the clinic and direct them to the appropriate location
  • Register patients by obtaining demographic and insurance information and inputting it into the electronic medical record system
  • Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations for medical procedures
  • Schedule appointments and follow up with patients to confirm upcoming appointments
  • Collect copayments and outstanding balances and reconcile payments at the end of each day
  • Maintain the waiting area and ensure that it is clean organized and welcoming to patients and visitors
  • Answer phones and respond to inquiries from patients physicians and other healthcare providers
  • Provide administrative support to the clinical staff as needed
  • Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain strict patient confidentiality

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Preferred 2 years of experience as previous registration clerk experience in a healthcare setting
  • Basic Life Support Certification
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and insurance coverage requirements
  • Proficiency with electronic medical record systems and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fastpaced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
