Job Description
Overview
We are seeking a creative detailoriented and empathetic Interior Designer to join our team. This role is critical in creating functional safe and aesthetically pleasing spaces that promote comfort independence and quality of life for aging adults. Youll collaborate with crossfunctional teams including architects project managers and facility staff to bring innovative and thoughtful design solutions to life.
Responsibilities
- Design Development: Create and present design concepts that align with the needs of senior residents combining safety accessibility and elegance.
- Space Planning: Develop functional layouts that support ease of mobility and wayfinding considering ADA compliance and industry best practices.
- FF&E Specification: Select and specify furnishings fixtures equipment and finishes suitable for senior living facilities with attention to durability ease of maintenance and resident comfort.
- Project Management: Oversee design aspects from concept through installation ensuring project timelines budgets and quality standards are met.
- Client Interaction: Work closely with stakeholders including developers operators and residentsto understand their vision and incorporate feedback.
- Code Compliance: Ensure all design work adheres to relevant codes and regulations (e.g. ADA Fair Housing Act Life Safety Codes).
- Documentation: Prepare detailed design documents materials boards and renderings using tools such as AutoCAD Revit SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in interior design or related field.
- 58 years of experience in interior design with a strong portfolio in senior living healthcare or hospitality sectors.
- Knowledge of ageinplace and universal design principles.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Revit and other industrystandard design software.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to travel to 30% of the time
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively in a teamoriented environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Min Salary
USD $62.00/Hr.
Max Salary
USD $62.00/Hr.
