Job Description:
L3Harris Technologies is looking for a dedicated Cable Assembly Supervisor to join our MPES Services team in Norfolk. In this role you will be responsible for performing standardized technical assignments which involve a series of related operations on submarine molded cable assemblies and components. Additionally you will supervise a team of cable mold employees assigning tasks creating schedules and acting as a customer interface.
Essential Functions:
- Supervise and manage a team of cable mold employees including assigning tasking and creating work schedules.
- Follows standard work methods on recurring assignments but receives explicit instructions on unfamiliar assignments; technical adequacy of routine work is reviewed on completion; non routine work may also be reviewed in process.
- Following specific instructions assembles or constructs simple or standard equipment or parts; may service or repair simple instruments or equipment.
- Conducts a variety of tests using established methods.
- Prepares test specimens adjusts and operates equipment and records test data pointing out deviations resulting from equipment malfunction or observational errors.
- Extracts engineering data from various prescribed but non standardized sources; processes the data following welldefined methods including elementary algebra and geometry; presents the data in prescribed form.
- Other duties may be assigned to include overtime work to complete production requirements.
Job Qualification Requirements:
Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years postSecondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.
- United States Citizenship required with ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance.
- Must be able to read and interpret cable assembly drawings.
- Must be able to read and execute hydrostatic pressure tank procedures.
- Must be L3Harris qualified to operate forklifts.
- Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds by themselves.
- Must be able to traverse ladders.
