Performs welding and other tasks necessary to assemble the coach on the assembly line in a timely manner. They must also maintain tidy work areas and follow detailed instructions in order to meet safety and quality requirements.
Primary Responsibilities
- Following of all safety precautions and regulations for welding
- Proficient with use of welding equipment and techniques
- Must be able to interpret and understand drawings Bills of materials and other verbal and written instructions
- Working knowledge of fixtures weld set up parameters and fill materials applications
- Inspection of work to ensure quality
- Promote and Maintain a safe work environment
- Using manual and power tools for finish grinding applications
- Basic welding equipment maintenance knowledge
- Problem solving
- And other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Read write comprehend and verbally communicate in English
- Capable of reading a tape measure and other measuring devices
- Attention to detail
- Able to climb twist bend stoop stand squat grasp and work over head
- Willing to perform repetitive tasks while sitting or standing
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds
- Good hand eye coordination
