The Department of Management in the Gerald Schwartz School of Business is inviting applications for a Lab Instructor for Introduction to Business courses (BSAD 111 and BSAD 112) to begin on August 15 2025. The successful candidate will be expected to deliver ten 75minute lab instruction sessions per week to firstyear students. The successful candidate will also be invited to engage in the service duties expected of faculty.
This is a probationary position and is subject to final budgetary approval.
The Gerald Schwartz School of Business houses three departments and offers a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with several degree streams a thesisbased honours program a coop option and multiple international exchange opportunities. The Gerald Schwartz School is a signatory to PRME and the finance program is recognized under the CFA University Affiliate Program. St. Francis Xavier University is one of Canadas leading primarily undergraduate universities nestled in the small Nova Scotia town of Antigonish within the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mikmaq People. Our historic campus is home to a population of around 4000 students.
Candidates will be considered based on their combination of education and relevant work experience. Applicants should possess a universitylevel degree in business. Recent teaching or relevant industry experience will be considered an asset. The successful candidate will be foremost a collegial and innovative teacher who will excel in an undergraduate experiential learning environment.
