Reporting to the Country Managing Director this is a key role in cultivating a proactive and collaborative safety culture across GEAs sites in Australia. This handson role focuses on empowering frontline teams guiding managers and ensuring consistent application of GEAs safety systems and standards.
Responsibilities / Tasks
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide onsite HSE coaching and operational support across project teams and business units.
- Drive the implementation and continuous improvement of integrated management systems aligned with GEA global requirements.
- Coordinate site audits and inspections and support timely closeout of actions.
- Facilitate risk assessments and hazard control implementation at the operational level.
- Lead or support incident investigations and corrective action implementation.
- Manage injury recovery processes and assist with returntowork plans as needed.
- Deliver HSE training and toolbox engagement sessions across locations.
- Support the application of Group and Regional HSE policies.
Your Profile / Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in OHS or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years health and safety management experience including experience within manufacturing service engineering and / or project environments
- Able to demonstrate knowledge of Australian regulations and standards including occupational health related issues.
- Knowledge of management systems (ISO 9001 ISO 14001 ISO 45001)
- Flexible and willing to travel within Australia.
- A continuous improvement mindset.
