Summary of Primary Function/General Purpose of Position
Under general supervision the Unit Secretary provides clerical support to the nursing unit. As a member of the nursing unit the Unit Secretary conducts themselves to promote an organized and positive culture on the unit.
Essential Job Functions
Assemble and maintain patient charts
Answer telephones
Manages nurse call system
Provide routine approved information
Relay calls and messages as needed
