Job Description
Intermediate District 287 is looking for a qualified Educational Support Professional forNorthern Star Online.
Northern Star Online supports students looking for high school level courses onlinethat are designed with leading the way in virtual learning. The consortium comprises 15 independent school districts and 4 educational service agencies representing over 50 school districts. Our partners share expertise and resources to provide online learners with the finest online learning experience.
Role Focus:
- Student engagement support
- Student Tier 2 MTSS engagement interventions
- Onboarding support
Responsibilities:
- Nonstart outreach
- NR2 outreach
- Orientation outreach
- Full time support: Welcome sessions biweekly monitoring & checkins
- Orientation development
- IS support Welcome outreach; biweekly monitoring & checkin
- Engagement and pacing support strategies
- 504/IEP Support (as assigned)
- Review the Job Classification
Pay & Benefits:
- Salary is based on Local 2209 Salary Schedule B: $20.65 $29.02 per hour (depending on experience and education)

Education & Experience Requirements:
- Interested in candidates who are: diverse bilingual or have experience working with diverse populations.
- High school diploma or a general education development (GED) certificate
- Two (2) years of fulltime employment or equivalent working with individuals in an environment that provides broad familiarity and understanding of the physical and emotional behaviors and challenges of children with exceptional needs
- Substitution Allowed: College training may be substituted for the General Experience
