Job Description

The buildingbased substitute teacher provides instruction encourages student progress and manages the learning environment enabling each child to pursue his/her education as smoothly and completely as possible in the absence of the regular teacher. Buildingbased subs will be used to support each school and serve as substitute teachers. When not needed as substitutes they can be used to support teachers with small groups of students or individual students and/or cover teacher duties. Buildingbased subs will be granted an automatic interview for any position for which they are certified. Buildingbased subs will be paid $150 per day and receive no health benefits. Buildingbased subs can voluntarily participate in any PD sessions. Buildingbased subs will be considered for any longterm sub position for theschool year. This is a different position from daytoday substitute positions.
