Responsibilities / Tasks
GEA is seeking a dedicated and resultsdriven Regional Service Sales Engineer to support our Separation & Flow Technology (SFT) portfolio across the UK. This role focuses on generating service enquiries managing both existing and new customer accounts and contributing to the growth of service revenue. The successful candidate will play a key role in protecting and enhancing margins while delivering value through the promotion of service products.
Strategic & Operational Contribution:
Support the development and implementation of strategic and operational plans for the UK service organisation specifically focused on SFT services.
Actively contribute to countrylevel goals through the promotion of field services repairs spare parts technical audits training and service projects.
Sales & Business Development:
Drive service sales within the assigned regional territory including responsibility for all aspects of SFT service sales performance.
Generate and process service RFQs in line with departmental procedures.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities for service products balancing opportunity with risk assessment.
Promote the GEA service brand by building strong customer relationships and fostering trust.
Account & Stakeholder Management:
Ensure customer satisfaction by aligning service delivery with business objectives.
Actively manage key accounts and professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Provide support to internal service teams to ensure seamless enquiry handling and order execution.
Financial & Commercial Oversight:
Own the regional service sales budget maintaining awareness of pricing and margin targets as defined by service management.
Present monthly sales performance reports including order intake pipeline opportunities risk assessment and competitor insights.
Technical Expertise & Training:
Engage in ongoing technical training to build indepth knowledge of GEAs service and new machine product offerings.
Provide expert technical support and contribute to crossselling initiatives for services and new equipment.
CRM & Installed Base Management:
Maintain accurate and uptodate customer and opportunity data within the CRM system.
Update and manage IBASE records ensuring visibility of installed equipment and its service history.
Marketing & Events:
Participate in marketing initiatives and trade fairs as required to support brand and service promotion.
Your Profile / Qualifications
Ideally educated to a minimum of HNC/HND or equivalent in an engineering or technical discipline.
Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar sales role preferably with exposure to the food and dairy processing industries.
Selfmotivated with the ability to independently plan customer visits and manage daytoday sales activities.
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain customer relationships in a Field Service Sales environment.
Skilled in sales negotiation across multiple levels preferably with formal training.
Strong organisational interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to perform effectively under pressure.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word Excel PowerPoint) and comfortable using ERP systems.
Capable of preparing and delivering impactful sales presentations and reports tailored to various audiences.
Must have the legal right to work in the United Kingdom.
