Founded in 1999 Dexcom Inc. provides continuous glucose monitoring technology to help patients and their clinicians better manage diabetes. Since our inception we have focused on better outcomes for patients caregivers and clinicians by delivering solutions for people with diabetes while empowering our community to take control of diabetes.
Where you come in:
Youll conduct Preventive and Reparative Maintenance duties on Production Manufacturing and R&D Equipment and Fixtures.
Youll troubleshoot and maintain Automated production /process equipment knowledgeable in PLC Robotics 6 axis and pick and place robots including but not limited to Pneumatic systems Hydraulic/Fluidics systems Electro/Mechanical systems packaging equipment resistance/ultrasonic welders heat stakers. Perform equipment moves and setups.
Youll maintain and write Equipment Binders (EB) Maintain appropriate documents PM/CM documents Passdowns Trackit work orders and performs IQ/OQs equipment validations. Helps maintain spare part inventories.
Youll use Hand and Power tools Multimeters Amp Meters Manufacture test equipment Calipers.
Youll perform equipment activities in equipment development under supervision of the project engineer. Activities including assembly and testing of equipment fixtures processes and/or electronics completing engineering studies and validations.
Youll follow Dexcoms Safety and Lock Out/Tag out (LOTO) program.
Youll be required to work any shift including weekends.
You may assumes and perform other duties as assigned.
Youll perform all assigned task with appropriate safety requirements.

What makes you successful:
Familiar with MS Excel Word and Outlook
Must have general computer skills
Ability to read analyze and interpret common scientific and technical documents related to equipment specifications
Ability to write routine reports pass downs and correspondence
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from supervisors engineers and managers
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written oral diagram schematic blue print equipment drawing or schedule form

Experience and Education
Typically requires a minimum of 46 years of related experience and High School diploma/certificate or equivalent.
Language Skills:
Must be able to communicate effectively in English. Examples of English language proficiency may include (but are not limited to): ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals;ability to write routine reports and correspondence;ability to verbally communicate with leadership employees and auditors; ability to comprehend spoken language.
Physical Demands:
Employees in this position may be required to perform the following physical activities: standing walking and sitting for extended periods of time; frequent use of the hands fingers wrist and greater arm to handle small materials tools boxes and trays; lifting and carrying objects up to 50Ibs; occasional overhead reaches and lifts; occasional lifts and reaches below the knee; occasional pushing and pulling of materials and objects with moderate forces; occasional crouching/kneeling twisting and squatting movements.
Work Environment:
Employees may be exposed to the following environmental conditions while performing this job: work near moving parts work with chemicals outdoor weather conditions exposure to intense light and/or intermittent light fastpaced work and elevated noise levels.
