The Regional Biomed Manager ensures equipment and supplies used in all areas of the facility are properly functioning and safe for use. This position will manage the biomedical technicians within our regional group of OH/KY clinics: Cincinnati West Chester Forest Park Western Hills Maysville Portsmouth Seaman and the Southern Ohio Medical Center acute dialysis program.

Schedule: 40 hours/week

Responsibilities

What You Can Expect:

  • Ensures equipment maintenance and repair is completed according to the manufacturer guidelines AAMI standards and DCI guidelines. This includes the water treatment system dialysis machines reuse equipment and other equipment used in providing dialysis.
  • Accountable for the training of all technical staff in the proper use and maintenance of equipment. Documents such training.
  • Accountable for maintaining proper inventory following DCI inventory guidelines.
  • Ensures technical staff are performing according to the facility policies and procedures.
  • Coordinates and documents routine staff meetings with technical staff.
  • Ensures the technical area is clean and free of trash and clutter.
  • Ensures the physical plant is in good repair. Coordinates outside services as needed.
  • Performs air quality testing according to clinic policy.
  • Knowledgeable of OSHA standards and other standards. Implements and monitors compliance with standards to provide a safe workplace.
  • Provides staff education in technical areas.
  • Participates in oncall duties and is available in emergencies when indicated.
  • Actively encourages and is an example of open communication between physicians staff and Area Operations Director.
  • Supervisory duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Ability to problem solve

Education/Training:

  • Associates degree (AA) or biomedical applications or equivalent from twoyear College or technical school
  • One year related experience and/or training
  • Supervisory experience preferred
