Big Rapids Campus has a 22 bed medical surgical unit and a 4 bed critical care unit. This campus is the perfect place to gain experience as a new nurse and grow your career! The patient population in Big Rapids is very diverse it consists of primarily hospitalist medicine patients with a wide variety of diagnosis some of which include: pneumonia COPD cellulitis kidney failure and bowel Rapids has a wellestablished team that works collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team that includes hospitalists care managers social workers pharmacy nurse techs physical therapists and occupational therapists to provide quality care for our patients

Nurse Technicians act as a team member in the delivery of quality patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). Responsibilities include taking vitals checking blood sugars bed bathing ambulating wound care catheterization and acting as a safety attendant for patients.
Cleans patients environment / work area / equipment and communicates any equipment malfunctions to appropriate department / unit personnel.
Demonstrates a high standard of moral and ethical behavior. Advocates for privacy confidentiality and security of patient staff and organization data.
