Eastern Standard: Bar Support
Over the past year Garrett Harker and ES Hospitality have been busy opening several exciting hospitality venues just steps from Kenmore Square and Fenway Park. Among these is the return of Eastern Standard Kitchen and Drinks the craft cocktail bar Equal Measure and the groups newest concept Standard Italian. Best known for Eastern Standard Island Creek Oyster Bar and The Hawthorne Garrett is once again bringing enlightened hospitality and high energy operations to the Fenway neighborhood. Garrett is joined by Beverage Director Jackson Cannon and Culinary Director Brian Rae in the operation of these concepts.
About The Position:
Eastern Standard is seeking a hard working motivated individual to join the bar team in a bar support role. This is a role for someone who is eager to learn and thrive in a dynamic restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for hospitality remain constantly curious about all things food & beverage and work well in a dynamic fastpaced environment. As bar support youll be on the front line representing the Eastern Standard and the ES Hospitality brand. Youll be responsible for backing up the bartenders in all aspects of the shift from setup to prep to service and breakdown ensuring that the bar provides a memorable dining experience through stylish execution of cocktail wine beer and food service. As a bar support at ES you will have the opportunity to continue to learn and grow professionally alongside colleagues that take pride in what they do.
Responsibilities Include:
Commit to developing and maintaining a comprehensive knowledge of the ES food and beverage program including all food menus cocktails wines beers and spirits
Support the bar team in full including prep work such as batching cutting garnish restocking and anything needed for service
Assist in maintaining a clean and efficient bar space keeping all beverage product garnish ice glassware etc. organized and clean behind the bar
Ensure each guests bar top or table is maintained throughout the entire dining experience
Help bus maintain and clean the bar during service extending to the dining room as needed
Assist with opening and closing bar duties taking part in daily preshift and postshift sidework
