Job Description

Are you ready to apply your risk and compliance expertise to Amazons unique environment We are seeking an innovative and resultsdriven candidate with demonstrated Risk Management expertise. As a Risk Manager within the 2nd line North America Risk and Compliance Office you will be instrumental in the design and execution of the Risk program across our legal entities in the United States and Canada.
The Risk Manager will drive risk assessments escalation and mitigation strategies across a diverse group of partners and risk disciplines. The role is vital to ensure we comply with North Americas legal and compliance requirements. You will have the chance to join a team that partners across businesses in North America and to shape the future of Amazons evolving risk and compliance programs. Key job responsibilities
Secondline program level ownership covering the United States and Canada Risk programs which may include financial crimes operational compliance and financial risks.
Identify and develop appropriate data sources and elements which contribute to riskbased assessments including risk appetite assessments AML/CFT risk assessments compliance risk assessments entity risk assessments and others.
Identify develop monitor and report key risk indicators.
Review challenge approve and monitor issue records.
Perform deep dives on compliancerelated processes and systems. Understand payments business processes regulations risks and controls and work with partners to identify root cause of issues.
Provide risk expertise and guidance for the launch of new products and services in North Americas payment entities.
Develop data driven narratives to inform Board members of risk levels mitigations and impacts.
Own maintain and annually update policies procedures and other governance documents as necessary.
Drive innovation in the risk management framework leveraging data analytics and technology to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Manage several projects simultaneously with a sense of urgency.

5 years of compliance program management legal governance audit risk/loss prevention or equivalent experience
Bachelors degree or equivalent
Former role in risk management with knowledge of AML/BSA regulations including the Bank Secrecy Act NYDFS Part 504 AntiMoney Laundering Act of 2020 and FinCENs National AML/CFT Priorities and experience with riskbased analysis of products vendors and significant operational changes.

3 years of program requirements definition and data and metrics leveraging to drive improvements experience
Professional auditing qualification or similar risk or compliance credentials
Experience with SQL and Excel
Demonstrated track record of taking ownership and driving results with strong bias for action
