SAP Functional Tester
The SAP Functional Test Analyst will play a critical role in validating the functional aspects of SAP S4H solutions BPML and functional test coverage ensuring they meet business requirements and function as expected. This role involves creating executing and documenting test cases identify and report defects and collaborate with crossfunctional teams to resolve issues for various SAP S4H modules such as MM Procurement SD PP and FICO. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of SAP systems and a keen eye for detail to identify and address potential issues. This role involves a mix of manual and automation testing requiring strong analytical and problemsolving skills as well as a good understanding of SAP modules and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Test Planning:
Collaborate with business analysts and project stakeholders to understand business requirements and functional specifications and crossfunctional topics.
Develop test plans and test cases tailored to the specific needs of SAP S4H modules such as SD MM FI/CO HR etc.
Developing Test plans Test Data management developing and executing Test Scenarios and Cases on SAP platform and its integrations across other nonSAP systems
Test Execution:
Execute functional test cases execution of test cases across various SAP S4H modules including functional integration regression and user acceptance testing across different SAP S4HANA modules such as SD MM FI/CO HR and others ensuring thorough validation of SAP functionalities against business requirements.
Document test results and report any defects or inconsistencies found during the testing process.
Defect Management:
Log and track defects using appropriate testing tools working closely with developers and SAP consultants to ensure timely resolution.
Participate in defect triage meetings and provide detailed insights to facilitate defect resolution.
Collaboration:
Work closely with SAP developers functional consultants and project managers to ensure alignment on test objectives and timelines.
Provide input and feedback to improve system functionalities and contribute to project success.
Provide input on User Acceptance Testing (UAT) scenarios and support UAT testers during their testing activities.
Quality Assurance:
Ensure compliance with industry best practices and company standards throughout the testing process.
Conduct regression testing to validate the stability of SAP modules after modifications or upgrades.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain comprehensive testing documentation including test plans test cases and test results.
Prepare and present test reports to Test Manager Test Lead and project stakeholders highlighting key findings and recommendations.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities to improve testing processes and methodologies contributing to enhanced efficiency and effectiveness. E.g. Functional test coverage Test Automation Performance testing etc.
Stay current with SAP updates and testing tools to ensure the application of cuttingedge testing techniques. Experience with test automation tools and frameworks; TOSCA preferred
Qualifications and Certifications:
Bachelors degree in computer science Information Technology Business Administration or a related field.
Overall 4 years of working experience in SAP Testing and solution design development implementation and SAP upgrade experience is a plus (especially from ECC to S/4 HANA).
Minimum of 24 years of experience in SAP testing in Implementation and Application managed services
Strong knowledge of SAP modules and testing tools such as ALM JIRA SAP Solution Manager or equivalent.
Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
Excellentanalytical problemsolving and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
SAP certification (SD/MM/FICO/PP) and relevant testing certifications (e.g. ISTQB TOSCA UFT WorkSoft Certify etc.) are must.
