An exciting opportunity to be a Senior Independent Prescriber for the Boots Digital Health Clinical team. You will line manage a team of nonmedical clinicians to help foster a culture of clinical excellence and support.
You will be a Senior IP within the Boots Digital Health Clinical Team reporting to the Head of NonMedical Clinicians. You will be line manager for up to 10 nonmedical clinicians.
Your duties will include:
Developing a personal development plan and educational opportunities for the nonmedical clinical team.
To continue building and supporting our clinically excellent and happy team of clinicians.
To develop and run a system to assure clinical competencies
To monitor nonmedical clinicians clinical work using audit review and reflective practice.
To propose implement and audit policies and guidelines in line with national guidance and regulatory requirements.
To report analyse identify and help manage prescribing risks and working collaboratively with the SEA team to review clinician SEAs.
To participate in the induction education and training of all new healthcare staff.
To act as an advisor for clinical queries or to understand how to access additional clinical information when needed.
To delegate tasks to other team staff as appropriate.
Registered Independent Prescribing NonMedical Practitioner
Mandatory CPD to maintain fitness to practice.
Experience of supervising others
Experience of practice audit
Experience of protocol/guideline development
Prescribing qualification for 3 years
Demonstrates an advanced level of clinical reasoning & judgement
Maintains a broad level of practice
Demonstrates awareness of and commitment to the clinical governance agenda
Knowledge of regulations and legislation relevant to area of practice
Understanding of BDH Priorities
Excellent clinical knowledge and skills relevant to area of practice
Be an BDH Enhanced IP
