Senior DevOps Engineer (Cloud IaC Terraform Java)
Location: Detroit MI Hybrid (3 days in office T W Th)

Job Description:
We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer with a strong background in Cloud environments Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform and handson development experienceparticularly in Java. The ideal candidate has experience across DevOps SRE and software engineering disciplines ready to work in an Agile environment and help build scalable reliable infrastructure and pipelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design implement and manage cloudnative infrastructure and services using Terraform and other IaC tools.
- Collaborate with software engineering teams to integrate DevOps practices into the development lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines automation scripts and monitoring/logging frameworks.
- Perform load testing and performance tuning to ensure system scalability and reliability.
- Leverage handson development experience (preferably in Java) to support and improve build test and deployment processes.
- Apply SRE principles to improve system reliability observability and incident response.
- Work within Agile teams contributing to sprint planning retrospectives and crossfunctional collaboration.
Required Skills:
- Solid experience in DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).
- Proficiency with Terraform and IaC best practices.
- Strong handson development skills ideally with Java.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS Azure or GCP) and related services.
- Familiarity with load testing tools and performance optimization.
- Comfort working in Agile environments; exposure to PlatformasaService (PaaS) is a plus.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD processes version control (Git) and configuration management.
- Background in software engineering with a deep understanding of development lifecycles.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with containerization/orchestration (Docker Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of monitoring/logging tools like Prometheus Grafana ELK or similar.
- Cloud certifications (AWS Azure or GCP).
- Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and security in cloudnative environments.
