Salary: $64480.00 to $93350.40
This position is a fulltime benefitted position.
Anticipated schedule: Day shifts
A $10000 signon bonus is available for permanent fulltime hire with a 2year service agreement.
Responsibilities:
- Provides direct nursing care in accordance within established scope and standards of practice and with the policies procedures and protocols values and mission of the healthcare organization.
- Conducts and documents thorough assessments of patients health status before during and after chemotherapy infusion sessions. Monitors records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
- Safely administers simple to complex infusion therapy for chemotherapy and nonchemotherapy treatments.
- Monitors and document vital signs symptoms and overall response to treatment.
- Monitors for and manages side effects both acute and chronic and documents appropriately.
- Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care including discharge needs initiating referrals for physical financial spiritual and psychosocial support needs.
- Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age culture condition and circumstances. Validates and documents patient and family understanding of teaching
- Implements and monitors patient care plans.
- Participates in quality improvement initiatives
- May precept student nurses and new hires.
- Maintains professional growth and development through ongoing formal and informal education and clinical nursing study.
- Will float between oncology/infusion and wound care departments.
Requirements:
Active RN license
Active BLS
Minimum 1 year related expereince required
